Choose the Perfect Harness for Your Dog
To ensure maximum comfort, safety, and freedom of movement for your dog, choosing the right size of the Haqihana harness is essential. This guide accompanies you step-by-step to correctly measure your four-legged friend and find the ideal size.

To ensure maximum comfort, safety, and freedom of movement for your dog, choosing the right size of the Haqihana harness is essential. This guide accompanies you step-by-step to correctly measure your four-legged friend and find the ideal size.

How to choose the correct size
Procedure:
This means that Dora can either wear a fully open S or an almost completely closed M. Although it is not an ironclad rule, our suggestion in these cases is to choose the larger size in order, for example, to accommodate potential weight gain, the inevitable shrinkage of the strap (about 7%), or to allow the use of a winter coat. Some people prefer to opt for the smaller size because it is lighter. For Dora, we chose size M.

Which one to choose?
Procedure:
The Long sizes have been designed to ensure maximum mobility and comfort for the dog by making sure that there is sufficient space between the shoulder and strap E to prevent it from rubbing under the armpits, while allowing the shoulder blade to move in complete freedom without constraints.
We will now see how to evaluate this parameter which we will call X: We will consider measurements B and D of the harness (following figure).

How to calculate parameter X
Procedure:
The B segment is the non-adjustable one positioned along the spine from the base of the neck to the leash ring.
The D segment is adjustable and will run along the dog's sternum.
The correct choice of the length of B and D based on the configurator's output will allow strap E, once the harness is closed, to remain far from the dog's armpits and shoulder blades; the distance X should be about four fingers.
**Please note: as points of reference, the R1 ring should be located at the base of the neck between the shoulder blades (cervico-thoracic junction of the spine) and the R2 ring at the beginning of the sternum (manubrium).

At this point, knowing the measurements of segments B and D of the proposed harnesses, you can choose the standard or Long size based on what you have verified on your dog.
